I’ve been training at 3D MMA for a couple of years now. It’s been a great time all around. From no grappling experience to rolling with world champions, it’s been a very positive experience. The classes offered are great. Instructors (Dennis, Javi, Dan & more) take the time to answer your questions, improve and fine tune technique. They’re there because they genuinely care about their craft and want to share that with their student. Kids classes are always packed and they have a good time too. Don’t hesitate. Sign up and maybe we’ll have the opportunity to roll.

My son and I love 3D MMA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The coach is amazing and truly cares about the students. The gym is clean, warm, and very welcoming. What I appreciate most is the individual attention given to each student. There is no long-term contract, and parents are welcome to watch the training, which is great. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality martial arts program.

I moved to the Schaumburg/Hoffman area from another city and shopped around trial classes looking for a new gym. I immediately felt right at home at 3D. Good vibes all around, plenty of mat space, convenient scheduling, and the addition of Muay Thai along with BJJ is a huge plus, as I've been wanting to supplement my BJJ with some striking. I'd highly recommend this gym to anyone whether you're experienced or brand new.

I've been going here for 4 years and love this place. I've trained at a few different gyms and this one has been by far the best. 3D has four excellent black belt instructors and very clean and modern facilities. They don't have a contract requirement which is perfect for when I go on vacations. They have basic and advanced classes in the mornings and evenings. I recommend for anyone to give this place a shot, you won't regret it!

I came to 3D martial arts over a year ago due to looking for a gym closer to home and with a wide variety of classes throughout the day, this was the gym that fits my needs. Coaches here are experienced and well knowledgeable of their art and will be happy to assist you in your martial arts journey. The team is very welcoming to new comers and I as a woman never felt like I was being taken easy on or left out whatsoever. I hope other people who are looking to train will find it as prosperous as it did for me. .

What can I say about Coach Dennis's 3DMMA school in Hanover Park, that has not been said before? The reviews are overwhelmingly positive for good reason. I can layer onto that wisdom in a few sentences, but I feel it is more valuable to speak to other parents as a parent in a more comprehensive manner. There's a lot of text coming, but I want you to feel a sense of what I had the privilege to experience. As a parent, what first stood out to me at Coach Dennis’s 3DMMA in Hanover Park, is that it doesn’t feel like a business. It feels like a family you’re lucky to be welcomed into. From the moment you walk in, everyone is saying hello. The coaches have such a positive vibe that the students reflect it. Everyone encourages everyone else, and nobody gets lost in the crowd. There is no ego, and no attitude. Humility, grace, and physical prowess: great descriptions of the coaches. Kids, teens, and adults are treated like people, not “members” testing for a belt every 3 months. The atmosphere is respectful without being awkward and uncomfortable...supportive without being fake. It is obvious that the coaches care about your growth and confidence above all, all while masterfully keeping the training safe. The school community genuinely wants to see everyone succeed in the healthiest way possible. Regarding the training, 3DMMA keeps things simple and meaningful: Jiu Jitsu (a practical grappling art) and Muay Thai (a striking system with deep roots). No quick-belt promises, no empty flash. No classical system where you have to memorize a counter to countless "what if" techniques. The coaches offer solid , real skill, and a culture that’s welcoming instead of intimidating. For busy families, that matters: if you’re going to invest time, you want measurable progress. You might realize how much better it is to roll with fellow grapplers, to learn how to strike pads with your hands, feet, knees, and elbows, than to spend your night working on forms and "techniques" in a line. You will learn how to pace yourself, and how to "breathe" through exhaustion. And (this is a big deal), how not to be trained for a sport, rather, being trained to see your children and yourself able to manage real life conflict. If you’re a parent weighing options, this place is worth your time and consideration. If you join, or get your kids signed up (or both), you will feel and see the difference right away. With the utmost respect to other systems, this is a school where you will not see 30-minute routines with a staff, or performances of kata (forms) based on 18th century fighting here. You will forget 99% of that in a situation. Why not focus more so on training that can easily be evolved to match conflict? While the artistry of what most of us see around town has its place, if you are looking at improving your fitness (in a big way), your confidence, and just overall wanting to grow both internally and physically, then this is your school. My daughter attended here for a year and absolutely loved it. I noticed a big boost in her confidence, she would retain information and focus all while having fun with other kids. The coaches are patient and do great with the little ones. We signed up for a couple of the tournaments and it was such a good expierence. We moved or else I would of loved to have her continue here.
