Dennis Dombrow is a seasoned professional martial artist, champion competitor, and elite coach with over two decades of experience at the highest levels of combat sports. As the founder and head instructor of 3D MMA Academy in Hanover Park, Illinois, Dennis has dedicated his life to mastering martial arts and forging the next generation of martial artists, hobbyists, and champions.
Elite Competitive Pedigree
Dennis boasts an extensive and successful career as a professional mixed martial artist, retiring with a 9-6-1 record. Over more than a decade inside the cage, he captured three regional professional MMA championships and rose to the global stage, competing for the world-renowned promotion Strikeforce.
A master submission stylist, Dennis is a 1st-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who has held the rank for over a decade. His elite grappling skills earned him an invitation to compete in the prestigious Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI), cementing his reputation as an incredibly dangerous and technical submission artist.
Coaching & Leadership
Transitioning his championship mindset to the corner, Dennis has become one of the Midwest’s premier MMA and BJJ coaches. At 3D MMA Academy, he leads comprehensive programs in Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and youth martial arts alongside an expert team that includes fellow instructor Javier Palomo.
Dennis’s battle-tested training methodologies have guided numerous athletes to competitive success, including coaching fighters to regional titles under the Anthony Pettis Fighting Championship (APFC) banner. Whether working with MMA competitors, children building self-defense skills, or adults pursuing fitness, Dennis brings an authentic, high-level perspective to every student on his mats.
